HS Duty Check Privacy Policy
HS Duty Check (“the App”) is provided by Adrix Studio (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App accesses when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store, how we use it, and how it is deleted.
Data we access

| Approval history (which staff member approved a code change, and when) | To keep an audit trail and let you undo changes. |
We do not store your customers’ names, addresses, emails or payment details. If an order record we read contains customer information, we do not keep it.
How we use data
- To provide the App’s features: catalog scans, classification suggestions, approvals, history and duty reconciliation.
- To support you when you contact us.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the App:
- Google Cloud / Firebase (United States) — hosting and database.
- An AI model provider — product information (title, description, type, material) is sent to generate classification suggestions. We only use paid provider plans under which your data is not used to train their models. No customer data is sent.
Retention and deletion
- When you uninstall the App, we stop accessing your store. Shopify then sends us a deletion request and we permanently delete your store’s data within 30 days of receiving it.
- We respond to Shopify’s customer data request and customer redaction webhooks as required.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Access is limited to what is needed to operate and support the App.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify merchants in the App.
